Incontinentia Pigmenti
Annebelle was diagnosed with Incontinentia Pigmenti (IP) shortly after birth, IP is common in our family and we knew she had a strong possibility of having it. IP caused damage to the entire left side of Annie's brain and is the reason she has cerebral palsy, developmental delays and epilepsy.

Cerebral Palsy
We knew that Annie had developmental delays when she was a newborn, she was immediately enrolled in physical therapy and at around 12 months she was diagnosed with CP. Annie has triplegic cerebral palsy which means it effects both her legs and her right arm.

Epilepsy
One day after bringing Annie home we brought her back to the ER because she was refusing to eat, after what felt like forever a nurse noticed that she was having seizures. We were ambulanced to a children's hospital where Annie was diagnosed with focal epilepsy and started on anti-epileptic medication which she will most likely be on for the rest of her life. Annie has since been diagnosed with infantile spasms and is suspected to have Lennox-Gaustaut Syndrome, next month she will go in to have a vagul nerve stimulator implanted.
